Tatuaje Monster Mummy Redux 5

The Tatuaje Monster Redux 5 brings back one of Pete Johnson’s most sought-after creations in all its original glory. Like the 2014 release, this Nicaraguan puro is rolled in a striking 7½ x 47 vitola, dressed in a beautiful Criollo wrapper. Johnson describes it as a “cleaner-looking version” of the Tatuaje Black Label—offering a refined yet powerful smoking experience, with the larger size subtly shifting the blend’s balance and depth.

Handcrafted at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, production is limited to just 5,000 boxes of 13 cigars (a total of 65,000 cigars). Of those, 666 boxes are individually numbered, 34 are marked with “XX” for special allocations, and the remaining 4,300 are unnumbered—making every box a collectible in its own right.

The Monster Series has long been one of Tatuaje’s most celebrated limited editions, with each release honoring the brand’s creative legacy through hauntingly good blends. Following the 2019 conclusion of the full-sized line, the Redux Series revisits the originals in their authentic vitolas. The “5” in the name signifies this as the fifth Redux release and the 100th commercial release within the Monster family—a true milestone for collectors and aficionados alike.
