McChrystal's Sicilian Burst has a medium-fine grind with dry texture and low to medium nicotine strength. The blend uses a tobacco base of burley and flue-cured leaf with oriental stem. The primary note is lemon, ranging from natural citrus to candied presentations, with secondary notes of bergamot, almond, and menthol.

The lemon character becomes stronger when taken, with some detecting additional herbal undertones and biscuit notes from the tobacco base. The scent duration is relatively brief compared to other McChrystal's blends. The colour is light to medium brown.
